Paradise Beach, Pondicherry

This blissful beach is located on the Cuddalore road of Chunnambar. It is one of the top most beaches in Pondicherry and is a must visit spot when in the city. It is 8 km from the town side and offers innumerable activities for the travellers. The quiet and isolated beach is a pleasing treat for city goers. The Pondy railway station s only 8 km away from the Paradise beach and the most ideal time to hang around here is monsoons and winters.

Karaikal Beach, Pondicherry

The beach is called as a paradise for swimmers and is a heavenly spot for experiencing adventure activities such as canoeing, boating, kayaking and other activities. The beach is situated in the Karaikal district of the state. The beach is an ideal place for wellness, relaxation, serenity, loneliness and portrays the French architectural style. The Karaikal beach can be reached from Mayiladuthurai station which is only at a distance of 29km. October to March is the best season to visit the beach as the cool climate and calm atmosphere can be felt and experienced.

Auroville Beach, Pondicherry

It is one of the famous beaches in Pondicherry and is considered to be pretty fascinating. It is located in the Viluppuram district and has many must see attractions all around. The first glance at the Auroville beach will attract the visitors from all places to spend a week in the laps of Mother Nature. There are many French buildings, museums and hotels nearby where every traveller can discover the olden phase of French culture. Trichy railway station is close to the beach and the ideal time to hang out or visit Auroville beach is in monsoons.

Serenity Beach, Pondicherry

The beach is located in the Kottakuppam district and is just 20 minutes away from the main town. As the name suggests, it is calm and is also clean and well maintained. One can come across the boats well parked on the sea shore giving out a perfect picture of the beach side. The shimmering waters on the beach rocks and golden sand offers a great view during sun sets and sun rise. The beach bazaar at the side of the beach is ideal for small stuff shopping. Villupuram railway station is just 13 km at a distance from the beach, and November to February is the ideal time to visit the Serenity beach.

Mahe Beach, Pondicherry

It is the virgin beach and one of the top Pondicherry beaches. It is situated in the Kannur district and was once a major part of the French India. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery, palm trees, blue shining waters on all sides giving out a breathtaking view of the entire location. Swimming, lazing around, walking on the paths and watching the sun sets and sun rise are some of the memorable activities you can do here. The exotic and secluded beach is favourable to be visited in the months of October to March. Mattanur is the nearest railway station to the beach.

Seaside Promenade, Pondicherry

It is another glorious beach in Pondicherry and reminds the people around of the French colonisation. The beach is open from morning till evening and has some of the iconic landmarks that can be visited by the travellers. Some of the monuments which are worth to check out in Seaside Promenade are statues of Joan of Arc, Dupleix, Mahatma Gandhi and old lighthouse, French war memorial and so on. A lot of Bollywood movies have been shot here, and the best time to visit here is from November to March. The nearest railway station to the beach is Villianur station.

Plage Paradiso Beach, Pondicherry

This is the golden and best beach in Pondicherry, and one can create most lovable memories here. The gold coloured sands and blue transparent waters offer mesmerising scenery to one and all. Strolling around the beach during sun set can be a great experience. Collecting shells, chit chatting with the locals and fisher men, relaxing and walking along the sand can be the best time spent at the beach. The period from October and March is the ideal season for the visit, which can be reached from the nearest station in Cuddalore road.

It is a decent beach in Pondicherry located in the north side of the state. It is located just 8 km away from the main city of Pondicherry. It is a clean beach and is open from morning to evening for the travellers. As the name suggests, the beach is pretty silent and not at all crowded and is safe for families and young couples. Monsoon and winter can be the right time to hang out and feel the calm ambience of the beach which is nearby to the Trichy railway station.
